Munters Joins the Energy Efficiency Movement as an Active Mover
Munters Group has formally joined the Energy Efficiency Movement as an Active Mover — a global initiative that brings together companies committed to advancing energy efficiency across industrial and commercial applications. The decision reflects Munters' position as a technology company whose core products directly reduce energy consumption in some of the most energy-intensive industrial processes.
Munters contributes three distinct technology domains to the movement: desiccant dehumidification, data center cooling, and industrial AirTech. In each domain, the energy efficiency argument is central to the product value proposition. Desiccant dehumidifiers, for example, consume significantly less energy than refrigerant-based systems at low temperatures — particularly relevant for cold storage and pharmaceutical environments where maintaining sub-zero or low dew-point conditions is essential. In data centers, Munters indirect evaporative cooling systems routinely achieve Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) values below 1.2, compared to the 1.5 to 1.8 range typical of conventional CRAC-based cooling.
For industrial operators in South India, energy efficiency is not an abstract goal — it is a direct operating cost driver. Power tariffs in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, combined with high ambient temperatures that increase cooling loads, make the efficiency of climate control equipment a primary procurement consideration. Munters technology addresses this directly: by using ambient wet-bulb temperature rather than mechanical refrigeration as the primary cooling medium, the AirTech and data center product lines reduce both energy spend and carbon exposure.
As the authorized distributor of Munters in South India, Arvi Fluid Systems shares this commitment. We work with plant engineers and facility managers to quantify the energy savings available from switching to desiccant or evaporative cooling solutions — and to translate those savings into a defensible business case for capital approval. If your facility is operating legacy dehumidification or cooling equipment, contact us to discuss what a technology upgrade could mean for your energy bill and sustainability targets.
