When Munters acquired Geoclima, an Italian manufacturer of precision chillers and cooling systems, in 2024, the strategic rationale was clear: expand from air-side cooling expertise into a complete thermal management portfolio that includes liquid-side solutions. Less than two years later, the results are visible — the combined entity has secured more than USD 700 million in data center cooling contracts, confirming that the market was ready for a vendor capable of offering both air and liquid cooling from a single engineering relationship.

Geoclima brings precision chillers, dry coolers, and adiabatic systems to the Munters portfolio. Combined with Munters' existing strength in indirect evaporative cooling, adiabatic humidification and cooling, and computer room air handling, the combined offering now covers the full spectrum of data center cooling approaches — from free cooling and evaporative pre-cooling through to precision liquid cooling for high-density AI racks.

For data center operators, the advantage of a broader vendor portfolio is reduced integration complexity. Managing thermal infrastructure from a single supplier with a unified design philosophy means fewer interface points between air-side and liquid-side systems, cleaner control integration, and a single accountability chain for system performance guarantees. This is especially relevant in modern hyperscale and AI-focused facilities where the boundary between air and liquid cooling is increasingly blurred.

In South India, where new data center capacity is being commissioned across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, facility engineers face exactly these integration challenges. Arvi Fluid Systems, as the authorized Munters distributor in the region, can provide access to the full Munters cooling portfolio for feasibility studies, design reviews, and equipment supply.
